Changes again
To be fair I changed my display mostly because the other one was a bit too narrow for me...I was getting hella annoyed. Thus a change was in order.
I swear to god I posted here with the full intention of having something to say and now I can't remember what I was going to say. Damnit...I hate when that happens. I feel a bit old.
On the other hand I had Avril Lavigne on in the car earlier which negates some of the old factor...
Heh...so I was scrolling through the moods earlier, and I saw quixotic listed...which always makes me laugh...and I'm gonna tell you why...this is something that I think

heathabomb may or may not remember. When I was in 6th grade my English teacher, Ms. Sias, used to read from this book called "Weighty Words". The book had 26 big words, especially big for 11- 12 year olds, with one word for each letter of the alphabet. With each word was a story, that demonstrated the word and gave a fun pnemonic for remembering the meaning of the word. For example, the letter "I" was "ingratiate." The story was about a lady (all the characters are animals incidentally) who wanted desperately to please her boss and ended up eating a meal in a dress that was grey. In grey she ate. Ingratiate! It was a great book, and really did a good job of teaching "tough" words to us. Granted I'm a bit of a vocabulary fiend to begin with but still. I checked on Amazon, and I *think* this is the newest edition of that book - I want a copy for myself, but I also think I will buy a few copies for my friends who have young kids. I have decided that as my friends children get a bit older, I am going to help to develop their libraries. It's gonna be great...I can corrupt all my friends' kids!
Time for lunch I think...at least it's been a good morning...I think I have all the major utilities set up in the new apartment for when I move!
