homecoming...

May 12, 2005 13:30

I had a little scare yesterday when Iberia told me there were
no seats available on any flights back to Chicago in June,
July, and August up to the 18th when my open-ended ticket
expires.

HOWEVER, I got a nice phone call today in the middle of
Fonaments fisics de l´informàtica (it´s in catalan) informing
me that I have a flight home (yeah, I was kinda sad to hear
that... I´d just RATHER stay here FOREVER! jk).

So, I´ll be coming home to the good ol´ USA August 14th at
14:30 :) I DO realize that gives me just barely a week to
completely get over jet lag and prepare myself for what will
be a CRAZY school year, I think I´ll be able to handle it.

For those of you who don´t know, I´ve decided to do Civil
Engineering (since I only have one more spanish class to
finish my spanish major... and you can´t get TOO far with
JUST a spanish major). This means three more jam-packed
years at the U of I. Unless... I´ve heard the engineering
department gives large scholarships to students who study
abroad. Who knows, perhaps I´ll be somewhere else one of
those years ;)

See you sometime in the near future I´m sure!
