Dang, I am so tired of vampires! I just walked past an end display of young adult vampire novels. Believe me, Twilight is apparently the tip of the iceberg (or whatever is a good metaphor, vampire style...tip of the gravestone?) Here is my entry:
Sun light rakes dry earth
raise your face to the day sky
get it over with.
And my proposed young adult novel, it's actually part of a series about four high school best friends, a fairy, an angel, a vampire, and a time-traveler. This way I can hit every genre that sells.
Book 4: Just One Thing We’d Like to Mention
Faeries can fly,
Angels are good
But sometimes a vampire
Only wants blood!
There’s a lot at stake when one guy drives a wedge between four BFFs.
With skin like fine-grained mdolomite and hair as black as bitumen, exchange student Vlad Renfield is dreamy. In fact, he literally begins to appear in the Madison's dreams. When he starts a new geology club - all you need for the first meeting is a bit of earth from your homeland - Madison is intrigued. She’s totally fallen under the power of his awesome marcasite eyes and can’t seem to snap out of it. She’s even forgotten about the Good Will Solstice party the girls are hosting. In fact, she seems to be forgetting all about good will and good friends. Can the girls bring her back to reality?
It practically writes itself, doesn't it.
