Major

So I was unhemming my pants, and I decided something. I was having this internal conflict about what my major would be at BC. Officially, I'm undeclared, unofficially, I'm doing International Studies (you can only declare IS after sophomore year as you have to be accepted into it), and even more unofficially, I was doing South Asian studies. This doesnt exist at BC but I figured I'd just take a bunch of classes involving India (like Social Problems, Asian-American society, AIDS in the modern world, etc) and call it a day. But then I realized that BC doesnt have South Asian studies because it doesnt really have a lot of classes involving india, which scared me because then what the hell would I study?

Sooooo now I decided that I'm gonna try to take Hindi elsewhere (although BU cancelled their Hindi program so maybe Harvard?) but I'm gonna focus on Middle Eastern studies, which actually does exist at BC. With that, I'm taking Arabic next year, which should be fun. Then, I can do with that whatever I want. Arabic works well with french b/c of all the francophone muslim countries in Africa. Sooo yeah.
