Internship Application Saga (part 1)

Well readers, between family commitments and the typical summer heat and humidity that always makes me feel sluggish and uninspired, I haven't been able to write the internship update I promised over a month ago. Thank you for your comment! I would have replied sooner but for some reason, Livejournal didn't send me an e-mail notification so I didn't realize you had posted a comment until now. I never thought about submitting to a disability publication, but it would definitely be useful for other blind students since frustration about inaccessible web sites seems to be common among my blind peers. I will seriously consider that. Thank you for the complement!
Thank you for your reassurance that it is alright to ask for help. Like you, I didn't want people to view me as incompetent, but who cares what others think? It really is more important to do what is best for you and save yourself unnecessary stress. As you read, I eventually realized I had no choice but to take a more moderate approach to independence and ask for help uploading the writing samples, but felt guilty about it until your comment. Thank you for reassuring me that it is not a sign of weakness or incompetence to ask for help.
