I was just watching "The Folks On The Hill" (an animated political parody sketch show). The closing bit was an SDLP 'rap'. It was wrong on SO many levels. That said, I was nearly in tears laughing.
I forgot it was on, too, so missed half of it. Besides the 'rap', there was a clip of Gerry & Martin and Paisley & Robinson in closed door talks getting on like a house afire and reaching an agreement. Then, cut scene to the press conference and Big Ian goes berserk saying he'll never work with 'those people'. Gerry's all "What the Hell?" Ian starts on him about blasphemy before storming off. It was hilarious but painfully accurate at the same time.
Jeffrey defended himself on the grounds that the charge of mutiny was sour grapes and that mutiny involved trying to take over the ship whereas he jumped ship.
Trimble and Co protested that THEY hadn't brought charges and the punchline was when Jeffrey asked WHO had brought the chrages and it turns out to have been the second officer of the good dhip SS DUP, One Peter Robinson :)
An earlier sketch involved Papa doc calling the big three- Peter, Nigel and Jeffrey, into his office to announce an easing of Policy... whereas in the past NO communication with members of SF had been permitted , in future, recognising the changes in SF, a bried nod in their general direction would be tolerated :)
