Can't this guy get a break!?

So apparantly (and this was reported on his blog as well as a lot of other news places so I'm almost 100% sure it's legit) "Taiji has been hospitalized due to avuncular necrosis of a leg, with complications from epilepsy and a past stroke. He's in critical condition, but his staff says his life is not threatened ( Read more... )

Critical condition in this case could be that he's had such a bad stroke or epileptic seizure that he cannot function any longer due to how severe his brain damage is, or there could still be bleeding/clots in the brain. Strokes are so not good._. I don't want to think the worst, but people go brain dead/loose all memory, speech, ability to function from strokes all the time._. This is how my grandfather died, he had many many many of these.

Yeah...unfortunately that may be the case because his staff did say that currently he is unable to write or even speak, so that just may be the case. Oh man...I don't even want to think about him dying...I bet anything Pata would be completely devastated since they're still really good friends...

Unfortunatly if he cannot write or speak, my guess is he's not going to be able to get those abilities back...He might not die from it, but his quality of life from now on would be pretty poor. A friend of mine, her grandmother had a stroke a few years back that paralyzed her whole right side. She can't do anything for herself or speak anymore, but she can still hear and sort of respond.

Wow, I have no idea who this guy is, but... My heart goes out to him. That is so horrible. :/ How old is he?

Taiji? O_O ::blinks:: He's the first bassist of X Japan. I think he's in his early 40's if I remember correctly. He was with them 80% of their career.

I never learned names of X Japan other than hide's and Yoshiki's for obvious reasons, and I only listen to them in passing. XD;

I do feel like a jackass now, though. :( Sorry.

lol, it's okay. Not everyone knows them, especially Taiji since he left in '92. I'm just so used to assuming everyone knows them, you know? It kind of shocks me a little when someone doesn't. It's just a weird personal habit of mine. XD
