take the ticket, ride the ride

The wind (from the fan in my room) on my skin. The summer of 2018 is distinctly summer-y. It's been balmy, hot, beachy, though sometimes cloudy and a little random desert/tropical rain/mist, very social, busy with shit. been to the beach and the ocean is a warm 70 degrees salt healing bath.

i am feeling the moment. i have a week off (+ some days!!) between work, and i have two mini trips planned, along with some chill time most hopefully! Beach, reading, travel, time with friends, exploring, music- all of it is something i am so so grateful for. enjoy this moment, enjoy the ride. ride the ride. r

i'm in my room, on my bed, reeling from the day: my last day at work at Beme. What a ride. everyone was so sweet, a card of sentiments and well wishes- they say i was a ray of sunshine and positivity. I brought waffles. shopping after work- going to sushi at samurai for teppan and brandons birthday. life is good. it is the little moments along the way.

realizing ive been holding my breath. breathe. breathe. relax!

last night was a rough night- thinking of nik and feeling it all fresh again. crying, crying so much, so many tears this year i could have watered my succulent garden a few times over. but a good succulent will hold onto a salty tear and make it last, and it will turn it into something beautiful. it will grow from it. i am stronger. though my underbelly is exposed, i am vulnerable and strong all at once.
my mom said, the only time she really heard me cry, like really cry, was when Nik and I broke up (the first time, years back). she said it sounded like a wolf's cry. so i guess I cry like a wolf. I am good with it.

currently i have tomatoes in a small planter box out front from Madi that are growing so fast you can almost hear it.

music- I am obsessed with Grimes right now. the music, the videos- the avant garde exploration of shit.

cracking open a chuck klosterman book again- forgot how much i love that man's ramblings and writings.
basically, i just need to get lost in books more often. Reading Stephen King's dark tower now- book 4.

last week i went to pride festival and made out with a couple- i was dancing, grinding up on whoever- feeling the music- AND HAPPY- and just full of love and like who the fuck cares let's makeout! they wanted to take me home, i didn't go.

maybe i should date a musician. i love dancing. you play the music, and i'll move to it. it's a happy place for me.

its been really ups and downs lately. but hold on, hold on to the love youve had, you do have, and the love you make. create. going forward, hurl yourself from a plane again. take the ticket, ride the ride.

No sympathy for the devil; keep that in mind. Buy the ticket, take the ride...and if it occasionally gets a little heavier than what you had in mind, well...maybe chalk it up to forced consciousness expansion: Tune in, freak out, get beaten - HST
