i could give you a list of reasons why this country doesn't have festivals like that.

1. travel is conceptually different to europeans. american travel is so bland (the bahamas, cabo, south beach, vegas) and insular (hey, look, other americans! lets go focus on them). plus, trains really link european cities to the countryside, where these fests happen. know any country side within walking distance of train stop here? europeans camp for these things! stay at youth hostels ( ... )
