recording equipment fun
Talked to the guys at Watermelon today, and got an estimate on a mixer, software, and mics. Is as follows:
12 input firewire helixboard plus software 300
audio technica drum mics (3 snare/tom, 2 overhead, 1 kick) 300
audio technica 2020 vocal mic 100
stands/cables- around 160
total 860
According to the guy I talked to, it should be a pretty sweet rig all and all, and I'm already excited about it. I talked to timmy about him going in with me at least on the board, what with his interest in sound and its related equipment. I figure with that, as well as stretching buying everything over the next couple months (like 200-300 dollars a month) I can make it much more affordable. Now all I need is time to rehearse with people yes. Until then, expiremental artgrind rides again!
