Leigh Bowery - The Real Party Monster
Leigh Bowery was born in Australia, he then moved to England in the late 70's so he could get an education in fashion, because there weren't any fashion schools in Australia. He then became the big influence on the party scene, he opened up his own club "Taboo" in 1984, which the Boy George musical is based on. He also did a lot of weird performance art with odd costuming. He died in 1994 of Aids. Since then others have copied his work.
