Believe it or not, Order of the Phoenix is larger by pagination.

Deathly Hallows was simply crammed full. :) Like many of the Babylon 5 episodes, there's so much going on that it seems to take more time/words than it actually does.

Though if I really wanted to be a smart alec... I've read the Bible through, and it has over 1200 pages no matter which translation you pick up!

The Bible is a legitimate answer.

Well, technically the Bible is made up of books... can't tell you how many times I've heard people getting all bent out of shape because they expect a part written by a shepherd about three thousand years ago to be in the same style as a part written by a tax collector over eight hundred years later!

But anyways...
