Mystery Science Theater 3000
OK, just in general, I'm not that much of a geek. I have never seen all the Star Wars movies, or all the episodes of Star Trek. I own no comic books. In fact, I know so little about the whole geeky thing, I have run out of other geek cliches.
All that said, I used to really love the TV show Mystery Science Theater 3000, where really bad movies were shown and made fun of.
There were different cast changes from the beginning until the end, but Mike Nelson, Kevin Murphy, and Bill Corbett were all involved.
This Thursday at the AMC Palace 20 in Elmwood there's a live broadcast of Plan 9 From Outer Space with these guys doing the whole making fun of it thing. Here's a link: www.rifftrax.com/ (over on the right side of the screen is the thing about Plan 9 From Outer Space thing.)
Anyway, it is in a bunch of theaters, but this is the only one around here. I just wanted to post that here in case anybody else I know might be interested in going. It's at 7pm this Thursday night
