It looks like my hours are probably--almost definitely--going to be cut, and therefore my pay. Long meeting just ended. I am really not sure how bad the cut will be or if I will be able to keep paying my rent.
The thing that sucks most is that this all goes back to this one stupid son of a bitch up in Baton Rouge. He is not even part of the company I work for.
Ah, fuck it, it is a long story and I have related some of it on here before already. But this prick is directly responsible for me specifically being someone whose hours/pay will be cut. And I know anyone reading this is thinking "What'd you do?", but in this one case, I honestly did not do anything wrong or even unprofessional. In fact I now am aware that the person who took over after me has made tons of mistakes doing what I used to do, but his have been covered up because once you choose someone to take blame for your stupidity (I got the blame for the guy in Baton Rouge's stupidity) then if the 2nd person continues to do the same things (the only things possible to do) you have to either cover it up or take responsibity because people are gonna figure out where the actual problem lies.
Lemme rephrase that so it makes sense: Stupid asshole wants something done. The thing he wants done is vague and he really has no idea what the guidelines are. So I do the thing that needs to be done. I do it for about one month or so. Suddenly, stupid asshole says it is being done wrong and says he will no longer accept anything with my name on it and makes a big deal over it. The job gets passed to someone else--who I train on how to do it, because everyone here knows I know what I am doing better than stupid asshole. New person does the job now for a few months. New person actually makes legitimate errors, dumb ones, but now stupid asshole keeps quiet about it because if he freaks out again and demands the new person off the project too, it starts to finally reflect what a stupid asshole he is and that he does not know how to handle business or people, nor does the things he is requesting make much sense.
I am really pissed. And fucked.
