A Unitary Theme
I usually throw noteworthy links or videos that I don't intend to comment on straight to Facebook or Buzz, but although I don't have anything substantial to say about these, I'm posting them here anyway.
The first is one of my favourite Death Cab for Cutie songs, here covered by Lauren Zettler (She starts playing at 1:09):
The second is a tribute to the recently deceased Ronnie James Dio, populariser of the devil horns, name-checked by Tenacious D, but unknown to me before I started watching VH1 Classic in the US. This is the only of his songs they ever seemed to play (one of two particularly famous in the US, apparently), Rainbow in the Dark. Here's that video (sadly overflowing with ads - I couldn't find it on Youtube):
And here's the cover by Tetrastar (chiptune wizard & producer, Superpowerless (Oliver Hindle) and songwriter Jaylyn Coffin (formerly of Emergency Pizza Party)):
