My baby is back online!
After many hours of mind-bendingly boring grunt work, Seb-kun has gotten my laptop back to the point where I feel I can actually work on it! I tried not to be too much of a stress ball and did not spend all of yesterday evening trying to reinstall all my necessary programmes, but I did get it up to the point where I can surf the net decently, work on my thesis (should the mood so strike me) and be able to watch anime. :)
Oh yes, I have missed my own laptop, even if I had a replacement from work. But it's never the same because you have to be oh-so-careful about what you actually use it for. No random surfing, no idle chatting. With a new 80gig hard drive, I've now got an emergency partition up with the barebones needed to get Windows up and running should the primary partition fail.
The other reason for the happy dance is I've had my work hours increased! Yay for more work (not!), yay for more money! :)
