Recovery!
Lost hdd has been recovered! Well, the data has at least! Many thanks to Seb-kun for being the superb techie geek that he is. :) After a good 3 days of to-ing and fro-ing, he's managed to recover at least 80-90% of what's on my hdd. It looks to have been something like a head crash, which made it a little more difficult to retrieve data initially. But I had faith!
In any case, it may be a good time for my laptop to get a hdd upgrade, so out with the old and in with the new! Shall hopefully have a shiny new 80gig hdd installed by the weekend. Still, life is good, since I've had the work laptop on loan for a while so I'm not internet-less. An internet-less anarch_kitty would be a very sad kitty!
