What a lazy day...
Well, work sucked the last few days. Friday night got into a fight with the new manager sent to our store to be helpful. He really reminds me of someone else that used to work with us. Always very busy but not getting much done. Tried to tell me how to do my job Friday and when I told him there was a reason I was doing what I was doing the way I was doing it, complained that I basically told him to shut up, which was not the case. My supervisor was there to see it though, and says that he is really overreacting. Then I had to help him run his shift Saturday because he wouldn't step in and do anything because shift managers shouldn't have to have an "assigned duty" in the shift. Things would be alot better on him if he would listen to my boss and I and how things run in this store instead of trying to change all of us on how they ran in his other store.
So work sucked so much that now I am exhausted and have a 3 day weekend. During which I haven't decided if I will do anything or just sleep. So far, sleep is winning. Went to the "BIG" Eskridge City Picnic. We had big rain storm yesterday and lots of flood warnings and watches. I don't know if that had anything to do with no one showing up but it was really small this year. Kelly's dad insisted we enter a turtle for Isaac in the turtle races so we did. Kelly was "warming it up" and I think he tired it out because it came in 4th out of 5. Isaac still won a $1 from the local bank for playing. Then Kelly and Paul took Isaac around and showed him off while Kelly's dad wife and I did free face painting for the kids. We had a good time, there just weren't as many kids as normal this time. Then, like always, Kelly's dad went and got the fire house from the station and sprayed all the kids and Kelly. Kelly got his water guns and actually got his dad for the first time. I'm looking forward to next year so Isaac can get into it. He'll be 14 months old then and tottling around. I know the 3 "boys" will have a blast.
So now, having just woken up from a nap and getting on the computer I'm contemplating another nap. I should get some cleaning done but our central air went out Friday nite. We've got a window unit a/c in our bedroom but the rest of the house is like an extra dimension of hell. So I'm thinking that cleaning is going to wait until the repair guy gets here. Oh well. I guess I could go check on the hubby. He's been out in the hellish part of the house for a while now. Maybe it will hurry and get dark and then we can go to the lake, watch fireworks then come home and go to bed for good.
