Kinda of a weird day
Well, Isaac and I made it through our first illnesses since he was born. Both of us developed stomach stuff the same time. I came home sick from work Thursday and he was sick too. He didn't seem to mind. He was still smiley and playful, just had to change his diaper every hour or else. And we slept alot. Called the dr. and he said to let it run its course in least he started running a temp or developed another symptom. And it's been last night since he had a dirty diaper so I guess he's over it.
A friend of a real close friend of mine died. Really suddenly. From what I've heard from another friend, she was outside and got hot so she came inside. Told her mom she was really hot and her mom went to bathroom to get her a cool wet towel and she came in with it and she was dead. I've only met her one time but she was a very sweet person and had a great sense of humor. For those of you who know my circle of friends, she was a friend of Mel's and had she lived closer than 2 hours away, she'd probably have been a close friend of me, barb, and mel. I just feel bad for Melissa because they were so close and no one really saw it coming. So if you see Melissa give her extra love and less shit than normal. And if you see any of your friends that you love (like you have any you don't) give them a hug and tell them you love them.
Sorry to get sad and sappy. It just really caught me offguard too.
Now for happy stuff. If you are not into gaming or the cam this next part will not make sense to you. Basically, I'm in a club that does improv acting based off of a set of gaming books published by White Wolf. When Kelly and I moved up to the Topeka area, we joined up. At the time, the group was based around friendship and community service. It was ran by a NPO (non-profit) but was recently taken in a corp. takeover by White Wolf. They changed many of the rules of this organization making it to where the ideals behind the group changed and so Kelly and I and many of the people that we are close to stopped playing and hanging out as often. But now, another group is forming that is finding the loopholes that WhiteWolf left open during its takeover. So now, the group if going to be more like its initial purpose and I'm very excited that it seems everyone is really going to get into it and involved again. This Saturday is going to be our meeting to plan it all out and hopefully very soon after that we can start games and have a game we all feel a part of instead of the cam game which many people (myself included) cannot get into as much.
Well, time to get ready to feed the baby. He should be up soon, then maybe a nap before work. Normally I'm in bed and asleep by 9:30 or 10. 10:30 tops. Now I have to close 2 times a week so it's 2:30 or 3 before I get to sleep those nights. Not good. Need nap if I am to survive.
