back from Shanghai
Wow....I am sooo tired, so I won't be posting much right now. Suffice it to say that I am safely back in Qingdao after an amazing trip to Shanghai. Highlights include: wonderful vegetarian food at a Buddhist temple; spending the night of the 4th watching the European final in a huge and crowded Irish pub; seeing an Irish modern art exhibit at the Shanghai art gallery ("wtf?" was my first reaction followed by "who the fuck cares - its awesome!"); hearing the tales of one particular guy from the other group who routinely gets "special massages"; being chased from a cemetery by angry ghosts - seriously not joking, will explain later; my first typhoon; having the forsight to only bring the amount I wanted to spend....there are way too many cool, cheap things to by in Shanghai; and having my first taste of soy milk - why haven't I ever tried it before?? its sooo yummy.
Happy belated fourth of july....the holiday lacks something when you're not in the US of A sadly. Hope you all saw wondeful fireworks displays to make up for my lack of patriotic spirit ;)
