We don't have to put pairing labels in our summaries, nobody pitches a fit if we use fangirl Japanese, and when we have drama, it's beneath the notice of fandom_wankThat's pretty much my idea of fandom bliss. Although I have to say that come of the larger fandoms I've been in have been pretty tolerant of my lack of pairing labels in summaries. I'm also the only alt-pairing writer I know who *hasn't* received hatemail strictly because of the alt-pairing, so maybe I've just lucked out ( ... )

It seems a lot of things began with Sailormoon. It's like the Future Planet Earth of anime fandom - it all started there, but most of the population moved off to colonize other worlds, and now the old folks reminisce about it while the new generation gets bored of the stories about this place they've never seen.
I'll probably move on myself before too long. My guilty secret is I have a persistent yearning for BNFdom, and an old broken-in pair of shoes may be comfortable but they can't get you up Mt. Everest.
