i just watched "harry potter and the prisoner of azkaban" for the second time (actually, here in the philippines, you can watch the movie as much as you want for the whole day and you get to only pay once...) my friend treated me to the movie, and us three (me and my two friends including the one who treated me) watched it.
alfonso cuaron is so cool a director. i am all applause for such imagination he has made me confront while watching the movie. the camera shots were all cool and i am astounded at how this movie has digressed from the other two. no more of candypop that chris columbus was.
i wish alfonso could have directed every "hp" movie. the second book could've been more dark than it was. all the wickedness and the evil lurking. i mean, the chamber of secrets is not definitely justified with what columbus did. it just sucked. along with the first movie. you could feel someone did not exert enough effort to make j.k. rowling's imagination come to life. it was just pure merchandising, so the producers could dig in deeper into the masses' pockets and earn more and more.
everything indeed changed. the time has truly come.
isn't it obvious as to how i'm so affected with this? i mean, being a fan (well, i'm not exactly that a fan, i still see some flaws in rowling's story plots...but i appreciate good books though...) and all, one expects to feel the drama and pathos of everything...
it was still cool watching it even when my bro and i already watched it last saturday. so i got to watch it last saturday, then i got to watch it again yesterday for two times...the second time though, me and my friend were making fun of the movie...like the instance where snape pointed the wand at harry and harry asked snape to lower his wand...and then my friend and i said that harry was about to say lower (in a sexy drawl voice...hahaha)...
ok, that is creepy. we're perverting a children's movie. haha.
i like the new dumbledore. he is so funny.
tom felton makes draco look like a wimpy snotty kid. but it's nice. i especially like draco more. haha. he's so evil.
i will no longer raise questions about the flaw in the storyline. j.k. should rethink about the time travel thing. it's not for her to meddle with. think - there's a major wrong when harry saves himself...it's just, you know, twisted.
oh well. can't wait for the next.
