"Unbarricade the door and come out with your hands raised above your head," the ranking police officer calls through the bullhorn. Damn, it was getting tight. They weren't supposed to be there. They were supposed to have gotten into the bank, wriggled their way through the security system with the help of their inside man, and then gotten out smoothly with Junno behind the wheel of the getaway car parked a block over, on top of a storm drain whose cover had been conveniently removed.

But the best laid plans of mice and men oft go awry, and awry they went today. They got into the bank, and they got through the security system smooth as butter. Jin was the best in his field, after all, even if you couldn't count on him to be enthusiastic about it. But then Kame received a all too tightly controlled phone call from Junno's burn phone.

"The exit strategy's blocked. That whole block is roped off, fire trucks everywhere. Go to plan B." He'd kept the message short to keep people from triangulating his location. None of them would be keeping their phones from this job, of course, but now Junno was turning that one off and removing the battery and dumping it as an extra precaution. Kame would have to use the other line if he wanted to contact him again.

The problem was, they'd missed their time frame for plan B. Short of an extraction miracle, the only way they had to get out was through. That was looking pretty good at the moment, except for the ring of squad cars currently surrounding the building.

"I won't go down by myself, but I'll go down with my friends!" Koki yelled, voice carefully pitched to make it sound as though he were panicked, spooked by the cops and about to snap, maybe come charging out of the building half-cocked. In reality, of course, it was all an act, carefully crafted as part of plan C: create a diversion and keep them occupied. Koki kept his head well away from the window, and used the small camera on the end of his wire to search out the locations of the marksmen that were being set up.

Ueda and Nakamaru were in the basement, setting explosives very strategically to make it look like they were planning to get out that way. They'd use the explosion and the resulting flurry of activity to use the plan C exit route. Hopefully the evidence of an explosion would keep the cops' attention long enough for Junno to meet them.
