impromptu life
so the government is closed tomorrow. which means I can't go in to work, but erica called me to say that if it were possible for me to work at home, i should do that. Thankfully, all the hype on friday meant my boss made sure i took stuff home in case this happened, so i have work to do. I was thinking earlier today that if the office were open, i might still call in and ask if i couldn't work from home anyway, so. This is pretty good, all told.
Tego and Krisztina crashed at mine last night, and will be staying again tonight because their heat and hot water went out. Krisztina has spent most of the day over at hers sewing frantically, but Tego came over yesterday around 3 for tv and just left.
PIMP: MY JEHOLS FIC WENT UP! read it! but! but don't read it just yet, because i want to read it first, and due to having impromptu houseguests (dear god, my apartment is so messy, shame!), i haven't had a chance to finish reading yet. IT IS AMAZING SO FAR. so, mine. and read it. :D
incidentally, we did get like, 18 or 19 inches of snow. i haven't been out in it since yesterday morning/early afternoon, when it was still snowing quite hard, but it was already up past my ankles (in my 3in boots) just about everywhere, and up to my knees in the park across the street where they hadn't cleared anything.
