thursday morning i got an email from fluttering that consisted entirely of 'JENSEN' several dozen times over.
I have weird romanticized notions about 'fall' where i want there to be pretty weather, and pretty colors, and if ever i weren't too lazy to decorate for a season, it would be for fall. light up my sky

Yesterday i went to meet stillesprite and Corwin down at the Freer and we listened to a couple of talks about the tale of shuuten douji. The first guest speaker was better (at speaking) than the second, but he had some cool videos and interesting points too. Then we went through the shuuten douji exhibit, which was

Corwin: you're tall today.
(i wore my favourite pair of green shoes (ok, so my only pair of green shoes, but they're totally cool! see here), and gained about 4 inches in height. It was weird to be able to see the top of stillesprite's head, and also weird to be looking at corwin's neck instead of somewhere in his chest XD i am used to my height ok)

Today after church (at which i stuck around and socialized! it was a novel experience, being social!), I went to meet
Bean and rocksizedheart at Delhi Dhaba near courthouse. I've been wanting to go for a while, so it was nice when
Bean suggested we grab lunch somewhere in my area. They were having their sunday buffet, so i had a little bit of everything. Not everything was marvelous, but it was all decently good. I liked their ground chicken and chickpea thingy the best, and their naan was really good.
After a tasty lunch, we went to a little coffee place across the street and had coffee there. I got the pumpkin spice latte, which was marvelous. I was having fantasies involving sitting and getting a coffee in a real cup earlier today anyway, inspired by the gorgeous weather, and even though we sat inside and i didn't do any people watching, spending some time with good friends was even better.
Had some hilarious yet horrifying conversations last night with jianjian and mom about needing to talk to dad about his internet-porn adventures, because the computer breaks every time mom leaves town.
it's getting quite chilly lately, but if the weather stayed just like this for a while, I'd be quite pleased.
