adventures in law enforcement

This Course We Plotted, j2 au. um. so not with the emchan!safe. the ending's a little pat, but it's a good read, and rec it :D

So the police! not sting and the, but the actual police came and knocked on my door last night! I'd propped my door open to catch the breeze from the window, and since I was in all day, didn't think much of it. Apparently, however, one of my neighbours did, and called the police in case I'd left it open accidentally, or it had been left open after someone broke in, so they came up to check it out. I had to show them my ID (which is from WV, so actually, only helpful in proving that i was who i said i was), and a bill with my name and current address on it. (Note to self: no matter how much you want to save trees, get at least one paper bill mailed to you monthly as proof of residence). Obviously it was fine because I am who I say i am, and i do actually live here, but it was an experience!

On the one hand, it's nice to know that my neighbours are observant, and if ever i do leave on vacation and accidentally leave my door open, someone will likely notice. On the other, I don't want to have to potentially deal with the police every time I want to prop my door (haha, like now!). All around, it was good I was wearing a shirt instead of just my bra!

pimpin', wtf
