❶ What got you into this fandom in the first place?
It's hard to say exactly where it started, but what really got me interested in JE as boys to squee over instead of just a new source of Jdramas that i would hopefully eventually be able to watch without subtitles, was nihongofrancais in an HMV picked up one of the monthly mags, and showed me KAT-TUN's shoot. It was one of those shirtless shoots, and I have a thing for that curve of muscle down from one's hipbone, and ok, Kame? has a very nice pair.
❷ Do you think you'll stay in this fandom or eventually move on?
I can't honestly say. I'm kind of an in-between phase right now, actually. I hadn't really been keeping up with their doings during grad-school year because i was so busy all the time and when I stopped being busy it was too much effort to catch up and kind of weird to jump back in the middle. And recently even the fic has trouble keeping my attention--and yet, I just joined a fic challenge, and I still like all my boys. Since I think of my friendships as divorced from the fandom itself (that is, fandom introduced me to most of you lovely people, but now that we've been introduced my friendship with you is not dependent upon the fandom) I'd say I've moved JE on to a back burner in terms of fandoms.
❸ Favorite episodes/books/movies/etc?
oh god, how to parse this even for je? I love Yamapi and Nakamaru a lot. And also Koki. And also Jin. And ;j Aiba and Sho. And also Kame. And also Shige! And kealk Toma! And definitely Ryo! And Koyama, Massu, and Tegoshi. Ummmm I loved, loved, still love Nobuta wo Produce; and I liked Kimi wa Petto and Sapuri a lot. ANEGO! omg jl;fea anego! except for the half-assed ending. BUT I STILL LOVE IT. I haven't seen a lot of the more recent dramas because I am lazy. I am not picking favourite PVs or photoshoots because we will be here forever and I will still have forgotten to list significant ones and I would be editing the post forever and it would just not be good XD

I do write fanfiction, though not much of it has gotten posted lately because either they're 1-sentence drabbles or, more likely, I just haven't finished them. Most of my discussion-ing takes place out of public view, but I've got a couple of favourite meta-type posts here and there.

Yes! Definitely! Sparkly, plaid, befeathered, Japanese boybands! Being pretty and doing stupid things on national tv! who could ask for more?
2.0 Supernatural
❶ What got you into this fandom in the first place?
*sigh*
blackcomb and pixisticks had literally been pestering me for months to watch supernatural, and I resisted. but then I started getting picspammed in group chats. I was pretty sold on Jensen right away because he's gorgeous ok and then someone sent me a picture of Jared (boyfolk, it is the pic I emailed to you last night!) and they're very pretty ok. Still, it's remarkably easy to avoid pictures when you don't go looking for them, and this is not je fandom so there are not new pictures every month. But
blackcomb started sending me fic recs and, my god people, the fic in this fandom. I cannot even tell you except GO READ IT. I'm not a fan of either long fic or AU in je fandom, but in j2, not only will i read it, I'm generally reasonably sure I'll love it. It's just sick.
❷ Do you think you'll stay in this fandom or eventually move on?
Up until last night, when I randomly decided to try to convert boyfolk, I would deny even being in the fandom. It's also kind of weird for me to be kind of in more than one fandom at a time. I've always been a one-fandom kind of girl (though a pairing whore in that fandom). Sooo I'd say that while it's difficult to say I'll never move on from it, I am also a long-term kind of fangirl, so they'll probably have me for a while. I'm more in the rps side of the fandom than the actual television show side of the fandom, so I'll probably stay as long as J2 are gorgeous and the fic holds my attention.
❸ Favorite episodes/books/movies/etc?
Again, I'm not really in the tv-side of the fandom. I mean I watch and enjoy the show, but *shrug* i've never really thought 'let's write fic about this tv show' and fic is a big compotnent of fandom for me. So um. Basically, I love all the fluff episodes especially? I mean, the plot ones are great and wonderful and actually move the plot forward and everything, but they're also often really depressing and stuff, so the fluff episodes get extra love from me by breaking up all the suck that is sam & dean's lives a little. If they were all fluff eps though, i know i wouldn't like the show so much.
It's hard to answer this question for a rps fandom. What am I supposed to say. I like the Jensen from spn better than I liked the Jensen from Dark Angel?

Yes! Yes, most definitely Yes! (lol obviously, since I spent a couple of hours trying to strong-arm boyfolk into it last night.) They are gorgeous, the fic is fantastic, seriously. I cannot tell you. What more do you need from a fandom?

❶ What got you into this fandom in the first place?
For once, the show. It's kind of awesome. Colin's Irish accent might have done it a bit too >.> Though I wouldn't really say I'm in this fandom either i may change my mind once they finally make season 2
❷ Do you think you'll stay in this fandom or eventually move on?
Again, long term fangirl type. Once I decide i'm in a fandom, i tend to stick around for a pretty long time. I have a hard time seeing myself in any particular fandom forever, but whatev.
❸ Favorite episodes/books/movies/etc?
The one where Morgana tries to kill Uthur.

I think I've posted one, maybe two fic, though one definitely got posted to a comm. Idk, i'm not sure that counts at this point; I'm not very invested in it atm, POSSIBLY BECAUSE SEASON 2 COME ON HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO WAIT?

also yes! at the very least, all 13 episodes of season 1 is not exactly a huge commitment. It's just ridiculous and fun and campy/enjoyable in the way that only BBC shows can be. Also, if you are into accents, watch it. me & my linguistics-background friends had the best time trying to categorize the accents of everyone on the show. ♥♥♥
Thursday I defeated a pair of angry!elbows on the morning commute (which yes, this is my idea of triumph).
Then wakikaki texted towards the end of my workday and said 'we're at daisy's near archives metro; come join us.' so I walked over from work. The weather was really nice Thursday! Tego was already there. Basically we just chilled all evening on the couch, mostly with food network on. Daisy's hidef channels? make food network so. much. better. though ok, I also spent half the night salivating. Krisztina came to join us after she got off work and ate dinner. I left early-around 10 and then got home and talked to roundaboutit for a while before falling into bed like a zombie.
I have never been so ready for a friday. And then I canceled all my evening plans and just kind of chilled by myself at home. It was kind of really awesome. Only down side was that the arlington library closes at 5, so i just barely missed being able to check if they had book three of the Karl Schroeder's Virga series. (which i still rec to you all)
It was also fluttering's birthday, so happy birthday again my dear!
