I am not a very controversial person. I don't like controversy, I don't like arguing with a hostile audience (though I don't mind friendly debate). I don't like finding myself in a space where I don't feel safe enough to speak my mind, so I try not to make that kind space for the people around me. I don't think that everyone should have to agree with me, but I do think that you can disagree with other people respectfully and in a way that allows their voices to be heard.

It has been a very controversy-filled day, and I am tired.
