Kame recognized his name first. He didn't want to think of it as ego as much as a sense of self-preservation--in Johnny's you knew your name when you came across it, even said with bad accepts or written in foreign scripts. That's how you knew when to run.

So he recognized his name first, pulled it out of all the chaos that was English grammar in white text on a grey background. Then, slowly he started pulling other names out of the 'livejournal entry.' It helped that half the time they got their names put into the magazines in English, god only know why. "Kinki Kids," Kame read slowly, processing. Sarah was an English name, he remembered vaguely from middle school English classes, but he couldn't really figure out what sandwiches had to do with anything. The 'anamuan' person whose entry it was hadn't responded to the comment either (not that he really thought he was up to deciphering it all if she did, judging from the length and impenetrability of the other replies, but the fact that they hadn't gave him something to blame it on).

Then Kame noticed that Sarah kept popping up in the comments as he went down the page. It seemed like every time 'roundaboutit' left a comment, the name Sarah was in it, and every time 'maya_morning' left a comment the combination of letters 'ro' made an appearance. 'Ro' might be name, Kame surmised. So two people, who kept popping up in these comments, often in conjunction with people he actually knew, often doing--presumably--verbs he wasn't sure the meanings of, but he could get Akanishi to translate that for him later, probably. Boy would do just about anything to show off his hard-earned language skills. They couldn't be celebrities, Ro and Sarah, could they? Surely he'd know if they were also celebrities. He was pretty sure he'd not had any dealings with either, and Kame was usually on top of his game at name-recognition at the very least.

Most of all, though, Kame wanted to know what the sandwich had to do with anything. maybe 'roundaboutit' was hungry...

you know how you get those old granmas from the Old Country who have resigned themselves to the fact that sometimes their husbands' eyes (and maybe hands) wander a bit, but it's ok, because they've never once hit them? It's like that. I've gotten used to the idea of living with the unavoidable you/food relationship.
