i wish the recipe gave me more of a bake time. the page justin xeroxed for me has a whole bunch of variations. i might edit to have those on hand as well.
jianjian's boyfriend came home for the long weekend and said he wanted pot pie (a trend perhaps? must be the freezing weather), and found his dad making the whole thing from scratch. and when i heard this, i made grabby hands for the dough recipe.
oooh, pastry dough. I actually don't like pies and hardly ever make them (well, I like savory tarts) but my friend M whose brother is a chef (she is a lawyer but a really good cook) swears by oil-based piecrust. She says it's delightfully flaky. I will try to find the recipe she sent me.
