You wouldn't happen to know how ficgames is tallying the points would you? And no, I'm not too lazy to look it up. Never. Are they adding up all the points and the team with the highest wins? Or is it done as an average?

This year I've been busy!

In January I ate my brussel sprouts (1 points). In July I broke tinyangl's X-Box (-12 points). In March I set cynicalism's puppy on fire (-66 points). In April I bought porn for fireflychen (-10 points). In November hizashikage and I robbed a bank (-50 points).

Overall, I've been naughty (-137 points). For Christmas I deserve a lump of coal!

Luckily for you, i asked Sarah to re-clarify the point system again. Basically every point for every fic is simply put to the team total. Which seems kind of unfair, actually. Because no voters might not mean it's not good, just that people didn't vote. Or also that if there is a preference in the fandom for a kind of fic, say, 'future,' then they might simply get more points because more people stopped to read and to vote for their fic, skewing the results.

This whole thing seems very exploitable to me.

yeah, i thought it was going to be averaged, and therefore a little more accountable and little harder to mess with the numbers.
