arrived safely
quite tired, as i am foolish about sleep. I did sleep on the plane, though. Out before we made the runway, and then suddenly we were landing. It wasn't a crowded seat either.
The lady in front of me, when she got up to get her carry-on out from under her seat, her purse started jumping and barking. XD
There was an interesting bit on the way where mom missed the exit (from the new toll road) to the airport, so she pulled over to the median, and backed up on the highway until she got back to the exit.
Was picked up by therelic and brad in newark, and we went to hoboken to eat/wander. I can't remember where we stopped now, but i got a chardoney and some pumpkin ravioli. Brad got a burger and...nandakke a barley wine? And therelic got a salad (ceasar?) and her favourite raspberry beer.
We also wandered through the italian street festival going on a bit, but that was before food.
Then back to their apartment, where we sat around shooting the breeze. Watched Saving Face again. Brad hadn't seen it before. Oh!! and my dad called! He's alive, and sounds like he's planning on coming back. Which means that he went to 'teach in china' as a pretense to get out of moving jianjian back to school XD. Maaa, i talked him into calling home after (he got the time zones mixed up), so maybe mom talked him into making the most of his trip since he's there. On the other hand, he's talking about presents. I don't know. He seems to have kept himself busy, though.
It sounds as though we'll be wandering around downtown tomorrow.
