NWAV sent us all emails, saying there was a 'glitch' and they'll let us know by the end of the month. :\ not impressed, rice, not impressed.
shatteredinu finally got the letter i sent her. yay! it only took like, two weeks and me having to mail it twice because it came back the first time. good thing i put on a return address.

my reaction to this picture is a bit too obscene for words, and considering what kinds of standards i have, i think that says something all by itself.
spent a couple of nights with Tego in Ballston. Went over the late afternoon of the 4th (because i slept in according to my knowledge of Tego's sleeping habits. turned out the unaccustomed street noise woke her up around 11:30 ^^;;). After dropping our things off, we went to Ann Taylor Loft (Tego's fav store, to the dismay of her brother) in Clarendon. Caught late late lunch (also known as dinner) at nantoka Grill next to the bus stop back. Hopped the ART 41 home, and then we started making this mmm delicious beef and apple stew. (It was a bit sweeter than i thought it would be, but i'd forgotten about all the apple juice). Then we popped up to the roof to watch the fireworks. We heard the DC ones, but watched the ones all over arlington. It was like we were surrounded. For a while one of the larger sets appeared to be sound-activated. But they didn't really seem to understand the idea of 'finale'
We went to bed fairly early, with stillesprite out in the living room because she wanted to sleep first, and then me and tego on her bed because we have mal-adjusted sleep schedules.
The next day we got up to meet Tego's older brother who's in town (for a job interview, maybe? i don't remember), but he put it off till 3 (down by the [big place with the plants i can't remember it right now]) so they went shopping (bbw) while i 'kept the home fires burning.' Then we went to meet him, saw the [one place], and then walked up to the portrait gallery and went through the portrait side until closing.
Hopped the metro up to U St. Dinner at Ben's Chili Bowl (the place has changed a bit since sophomore year, but then again, it wasn't 2 in the morning this time), then we went next door to the Saloon, because it was one of Tego's brother's favourite haunts from when he lived here. It was a good time, but we cut out a bit early because it had been a long day and we were tired. Came home. Cookies and icecream and tv. It was just a nice time with good friends.
And i finished Dune which means i might do my homework now.
Watched Casablanca for the first time today. ...i confess to spending a good deal of the movie trying to figure out who was whom from jackoweskla's casablanca fic. Jin was kind of perfect.
Still staying at Tego's and still without internet. If I hadn't left the exam questions at home, i may have had a real shot at finishing it XD. As it is, I'm working on the one question I'd bothered typing into the .doc, and yes. I will catch up on the flist hopefully. um. soon.
