demo netai~

Okaa-san broke her arm. O.o I thought they were still out when I got home (actually, they were just napping) so when I heard life downstairs, I went to give them the omiyage. Kaa-san opens the door, and her arm's in a sling. chou bikkuri shita no yo. She says she completely wiped out and broke the bone and hasn't been able to use the arm at all because, well, it's all cast-y.

Dakara, we ate out tonight.

The maple syrup, true to my father's joking predictions, did in fact leak in my suitcase. After he said it, I knew I should have unpacked everything and put it in a plastic bag, but did I? nooo. cause that would have been smart.

netai~

customs is so much easier with a re-entry permit. ^_^

I bruised my hand somewhere.

obaachan is doing well.

On the plane, I watched pride and prejudice in japanese. I'm always fascinated by what level of politeness people use in translations. I also watched: the chronicles of narnia, sayuri, and the end and beginning of eon flux, but not the middle. they turned off the movies when we got close.

I had a window seat.

navigating the airport is also easier when one doesn't have any checked baggage.

It is unexpectedly cold. Yesterday, my host parents went somewhere that involved a half hour boat ride. The weather was yucky and apparently the violently rocking boat-ness and tou-san didn't get along very well.

nemui. over spring break, I taught my mom: tadaima, oseiwa ni narimashita, itadakimasu, and okonomiyaki. In return I learned: mommy sec fan, daddy sec fan, and eng, backwards c fan le la.

nihongofrancais, I don't suppose you know if lj supports IPA?

so there were a couple nice days, then hail/lots of rain, then another nice day, and the day I left, it was snowing. Probably it turned to rain after the sun came up. I got to watch them de-ice the plane.
