strange people always accost me at bus stops. :\
Dinner yesterday was amazing. A. maz. ing. stillesprite got a jar of 'sweet and spicy' mango chutney from rocksizedheart sometime last year because it was processed with nuts. And we're like 'what can we do with mango chutney?' well, turns out, you can make a scrumptious chicken thingy. She cooked it on the stove-top, but the original recipe suggested baking, which probably would have been equally good. So first she marinated the chicken (a boneless breast for each of us) in soysauce for the duration of a stillesprite-shower (5-10 minutes). then, she put the chicken in a pot and dumped half the jar of chutney on top, along with some frozen green peas. Then she let the chutney condense down while the chicken cooked.
cook until done. we served with bread, but it would probably taste amazing with rice too. maybe even better. It was so good! It was spicier than we expected, but the flavor went all through the chicken and the peas. mmm. my mouth is watering just thinking about it.
tonight was mabodofu. i say it in chinese, but i can't spell it.
the word: like a swastika says 'oktoberfest'
one question from the take-home i plan to do in place of that crazy paper: "How would it come about (short of total nuclear annihilation) that the human race loses the art of dance? If so, could we still be happy?"
....maybe i should try to explain je lj fandom after all.
