did i tell you how this started? she randomly--seriously out of the blue--claimed he was really real. so of course i have to insist upon the opposite, regardless of my personal belief. the need to be contrary is so strong in this one

Nah, we've (slightly) had this conversation before. Akame was my first ship so I have a bit of a soft spot for it. But I pretty much read anything and everything that's well written. Except for Junno. I stay away from him. Of course, I have a bias but it's actually more of a lead character bias than a ship preference. Like if it has Tegoshi and isn't sickeningly sweet, I'll definitely read it. :D
That being said, I was thinking about this the other day. The only aspect of the akame fandom that I wish would be more prevalent with other ships is the fact that with akame stories they tend to be long stories as opposed to one-shots. When I read something, I like to be fully absorbed in it, to be able to spend hours with the characters. Of course the well written ones are far and between but I still wish you would find these more often with other ships.

Really? (<-- kjl;aflj;kfa intonation, so hard to mark in text. That was a 'really' of extreme interest, not disbelief. maybe, it would have been better to write it like 'really!') One of the things I don't like about most akame fic is how they all tend to be multi-parted. I want to go in, read my fic, and then get out. And I almost categorically refuse to read anything that isn't complete yet.
...nandaka, i feel like i've said this before. gomen.
