I do a lot of stupid things in the kitchen. Like grabbing a thing i just took out of the oven with my bare hands.
I threw out a whole hunk of beef because it was kinda freezer burned, and then smelled funny when i thawed it out. :\ I think that the freezer is too cold, but i don't think there's any way to turn it down.
Instead, I made turkey shepard's pie. Hopefully it is edible. I used these corn pocket things i bought on a whim and turned out to be disgusting for some of the veggies. I figured that since I can't bring myself to eat them by themselves, perhaps mixing them with a whole bunch of things i do like will work. I couldn't bear the idea of just throwing them out when they are perfectly edible. At least, in terms of everything but flavor.
Here's to hoping.
ETA: the corn things were totally edible, even in terms of flavor. unfortunately, though, I don't think i much care for the seasonings i put in the turkey, so it wasn't my fav thing ever. I kind of just want to eat the potatoes off the top :\
I really need to get myself a good minimal set. stupid bitch of a phonetic project. Got a 89 (A- range) on the last one, and most of it was pure stupid. Liiiiiiike when I had an example of a minimal pair, and actually just put the same word twice. = not a minimal pair. = not a pair at all ^^; though I have to say the TA's comments on that bit were kind of annoying: ??? How is this a minimal pair? You use the same symbol + the gloss is the same!. I mean. Yeah, definitely not a minimal pair, and all that, but. The question marks? in my mind, make you look like an idiot. because I think it's pretty obvious it's a typo. I mean, yeah, sure, a stupid typo. And if you said something like, "dude. this is not a minimal pair. proofread before you tun in assignments" I would be like "~_~;;;; sorry!" As it is, I'm like "~_~ gee i'm dumb. But i'm not telling you that; you can't even recognize a typo."
Look. I'm still testy. But still no period. Maybe it's stress? Internet withdrawal!
At any rate! I need to come up with a good minimal set for the next project and try and pull my grade into the A range. :\\ God. I just want to finish already. Senoritus liek woah. I'm so burnt-out. done with this shit.
Anyway. this is not a very fruitful line of inquiry at the moment, so. I guess i'll just stop.
