did not get enough sleep or actually finish all my homework, but it is all my own fault, so i am not going to complain about it (!! that's a first!). just throwing it out there.
so far phonI has been really easy. today we basically did the parts of the mouth. Have you ever seen a gif of the vocal folds working? it looks dirty, yo. And i never realized there was so much space in one's mouth for one's tongue to move around in, but we got to see old x-ray footage of people talking. they were made back before people realized that x-ray's are kind of bad for you. but it was so fucking cool!
Our next assignment involves drawing and color pencils. XD
Going in to talk to Rob tomorrow morning. I need to make up notes. laglkaf it makes me so nervous.
it is also really really cold. ;____;
ok, so really not that cold. It's only below freezing if you count windchill, but. the freakishly warm spring weather was really nice on my mostly-outside-waiting-for-the-next-bus commute.
wakikaki has left us and I shall be sad forever, or until she returns.
I still love LangID, but yappari it's shaping up to be an abusive relationship.
(I'm deathly afraid of not doing everything perfectly in the hopes that it'll beat me less if I do, not really realizing that it's going to beat me either way just because it can)
lunch from wisey's with Kate, tego and
wakikaki. Then we sat around in leavey talking. (I had a 30 appt with the mostly useless career center people. this time they were actually kind of almost helpful. *gaspy!* after which I went back to them). Then kaki left T___T and tego and I went to the library and did reading.
i'm beginning to suspect that my roommate just eats the butter straight. i have it because i like toast, and because sometimes i use it in cooking, but i never use enough fast enough, so i told her she should feel free. But the thing is, she doesn't put butter on her toast, and she doesn't cook at all (except for frying the occasional plaintain, which she does in veggie oil). But great gobs of butter go disappearing.
I don't really mind. I just want to know what happens to it out of curiosity.
FieldMethods might be a lot better than I thought it would. She's a lot more focused than in Discourse and not as ... all over the place. She does still analyze what we say as we go (sometimes but not always in relation to what we're talking about for class), and it remains an amusing trait.
Dropped my gocard and smartrip card getting on the metro today. Some nice man picked it up and gave it back. :D people can be so nice.
Going to go eat my instant microwave gyuudon now. Then homework. ;_;v
edit: oh! i bought a chai during the 10 minute break in my evening class. that explains the caffiene rush! i was wondering where it was coming from.
