Lust Caution
was pretty awesome. it was indeed graphic and deserves it's NC-17 rating. But it is totally worth seeing. In the theater. For full price. (there are like, 2 movies I've ever seen I'd say this of).
The language. Dear Lord. If that isn't a paper. At least 3 different dialects of Chinese, English, Japanese. I had one up on Dijana in that I could tell whenever they switched dialects, even if I was just as dependent on the subtitles as she was.
And the random Japanese confused me for a bit, because it was like "WAIT. I AM NOT READING THE SUBTITLES. WHY DO I UNDERSTAND THIS PART?"
Now, could someone please tell me what was up with the lipstick?
I always hated AP English for the symbolism. I could see it there, happening, but damn if I could ever tell you what it was supposed to mean.
on another note, i spent half an hour on my eye make-up, and it looks awesome.
