- brian jonestown massacre:
Oh ME, oh my. Superfantastische in every way apart from mental health, really, although if it came down to it, I'd go with the Dandy Warhols every time. - donnie darko:
One of the best films ever. I was reading an interview with Jamie Bell the other day and he said he was part of the Donnie Darko generation, which I thought was pretty cool. For some reason my mother has an ardent dislike of this film. Maybe she's jealous of us young desperates . . . - fleece:
The Fleece and Firkin is a lovely Bristol venue/pub that is just fantastic, really, even if it does have unexplained pillars. It is the spot of one of my indieboy claims to fame - pogoing with Dave Ashby whilst next to Alan Donahoe. AND the vodka isn't very expensive. What more could you want? - irvine welsh:
Irvine Welsh as a person sounds very much like one of those terrible old men who is very set in his ways and will not change his view, oh no, you ignorant young 'uns (see Adam Hart-Davis and my old Theatre teacher). Still, a fucking good author. - little britain:
Well, who doesn't? I couldn't decide whether or not this series showed that they were going into decline, until last week when Vicky Pollard was omitted from the lineup and a part of me died horribly. I do however think the second episode of this series was one of the best ever, especially the shop guy after a painting of a disappointed horse. - new rhodes:
New Rhodes are one of the only up and coming Bristol bands that I have any reason to be pleased with, to be honest. Lovelovelove. - sex and the city:
I used to be a bit embarrassed of this one but then I kinda got over it. Even though it was a bit contrived, it was very, very funny and I know everyone says it but it did open up the public forum a bit to accepting the diversity of women's sexuality. - the clash:
I went to see Seth Lakeman last night (supporting Levellers but we left after two of their songs in a very elitist/drunk way) and beforehand they were playing back-to-back Clash and my mother and I were extremely pleased. Best. Punk. Band. Ever. Even if they pissed off to America and never came back, olo. - the simpsons:
Again, who the fuck doesn't love this? My favourite episode is, was and forever shall be the one with the Lisa Lionheart doll. I've just realised I'm not really 'describing' these interests, but frankly I'm sure there are websites or something that do a better job, so go to them. - white rose movement:
I AM SEEING THEM IN JANUARY ON THE SAME BILL AS DUELS AND THE FUCKING RAKES. AS YET I HAVE NOT FINISHED WETTING MYSELF WITH GLEE.
