I FREAKING HATE AOL! It causes way too many problems. See, we have four computers in my house. Two are in the family room (Justin's and my parental's), then one in my room and one in my sister's room. My sister's computer won't even connect to the home network (we have a router) because it's saying she's out of range. It will, however, connect to any house that has a network in a fifty mile radius (maybe an exaggeration, but that's what it seems like), as well as DBIA. Seriously. So mine wasn't working, but my dad talked me through it over the phone and I fixed it. Last night, it just signed me off and wouldn't let me sign back on. I thought maybe it was just because I am online 24/7, so I turned my computer off and went to bed. Got home from school today and tried to sign online. Still wouldn't work. It didn't really make too much sense though, because the computers in the family room got on AOL fine. So I called my dad, hoping that he could help me again. But he couldn't. So then I called AOL Tech Support and had to talk to this stupid recording for ten minutes or so til I was connected to a consultant. THEN I was transferred to the WRONG consultant the first time (he was dial-up, we have cable modem) and he had to transfer me again. Proceeded to talk to this other guy for thirty minutes, which was a complete waste of my time because he was unable to help me at all. So I uninstalled AOL on my computer and the reinstalled it and now it's working fine. I don't understand at all. It makes no sense to me, though, why it wouldn't connect to the internet when the two computers on the SAME NETWORK were working just fine. I don't get it at all.
