LJ Idol 4.07 "Best Friends"
Right now the glass is mostly empty.
Other times in my life it has been mostly full.
The waters of life within that glass ebb and flow with the tides of my life. Other times they change with no rhyme or reason that is fathomable to me.
Many people have floated in that water. Some have merely dunked their toes, others have immersed themselves for a time. Would it do any good for me to recount their names? Would it make any difference to you if I showed in some way that I remember these people, that they live on in my addled memory? Would you like to know that the moments I shared with you still persist in some way?

Each of these people have made a difference To all these people I am indebted. For these people I pay it forward.
You might wonder, then: If these people are the water, then the glass is you, right? Well ... it is, and it isn't. The glass has been broken many times, and after each it has been Gina (rhianwyn) to help me mend it. She is now an integral part of that glass, and there are not words to describe how our lives have come to be woven together over the last almost-ten years.
That amount of time with a person is not spent lightly.
So the drink I lift at this holiday season -- I lift to you all. I call for blessings on your heads; for all the good dwelling within your gates, I wish you ten times more.
