eating in Austin

This post is mostly for my local friends in Austin.

I just stumbled across the best Indian restaurant I think I've ever found. This sort of thing has been done before -- the North and South Indian street foods all in one place -- but this is extremely good. I sincerely hope these guys make it ( Read more... )

Mmm, I've been on a huge indian kick the past few months. I'm a curry and naan making fool! :-)

sweet! I love that sort of thing. How do you make the naan, in the oven? Or do you have a tandoor? :)

and then you butter it a bit afterwards? mmm tasty!

they do that sometimes at Bombay Grill -- and sometimes some parts come out a bit crisp. Yum!

I bet yours is excellent as well.

I brush them with butter while on the grill. Some bits do come out bubbly and crisp. Mmmm, they are so yummy and quite easy to make!

I adapted this recipe from one on Allrecipes.com. For the longest time we were making it on the stove in a cast iron skillet. Thankfully one day we did it out on the grill and holy cow, what a difference! We always cook it on the grill now ( ... )
