So I just finished my 2nd exam of this semester. Now I only have one quiz today, one final tomorrow, and a take-home final due next Monday. And then I'll be just one short semester away from GRADUATING. Wow... still can't believe it.
Know what else I can't believe? I'll be 22 in a little over 2 weeks.... ahhh! No more milestone birthdays until I can get my AARP card.. how sad.
So yeah, classes are almost done, but then I work until the 22nd. The poor lil K-8 kids have school until then. Then its home for a couple of weeks before starting my last (and hopefully most exciting) semester at this school. Check this out: I'm taking 2 classes about sex, and then my other two classes consist of facilitating for a class i already took, and teaching English as a second language (ESL) to adults at a workers' center in Ypsi. I'm thinking that will cut down significantly on my reading... and the tradeoff will be grading papers and making lesson plans, but I think I can live with that.
And THEN, in May, I'll be going to Ecuador! I know, I know... you just can't keep me in this country for very long periods of time anymore. But I'm okay with that. I'll be down there to tutor little kids in math, English, and whatever else. I'm way excited. So I figure that Europe will be next on my list, since I'll already have been to all of the Americas... ;P
As for after that... still a big question mark. I keep going between a nonprofit in Chicago, teaching ESL in Mexico, or something crazy like joining the Peace Corps. Or maybe all of the above. =D
So there ya go... that's what's going on in my head right now. Lots of plans... BIG plans... but we'll see how it all works out. The truest thing I know: Everything happens for a reason. So I'm not worried, because my life will unfold exactly how it's supposed to, and I'll enjoy every second of it!
