last lazy day in homEr
It's beautiful here, so this will be short. I want to go soak up the sunshine while it lasts!
Have been doing a whole lotta nothing at home, which has been lovely.
Today I have to help in the garden and then clean house and cook, as I'm having Ellen and Nikki (two fellow Smithies! and native Homerites!) over for a little French 220 reunion. We're going to watch a french film, (sans les sous-titres, if we're feeling brave and intelligent) and I'm trying my hand at crepes, avec mum's blueberry-raspberry jam sauce and loads of butter and sugar. Should be entertaining, whether or not the crepes are a success...
It won't be quite enough to cure my Smith-homesickness, but it'll help.
And then it's off to Anchorage (for a haircut and hopefully a catch-up with KB, DB, and IC!) and DANCE CAMP!!! Friday --> Monday of dancing, music, good food, fun people...'twill be wonderful.
And then, flying out late-late Monday night for Massamachusetts! I am SO excited to be going back. It feels more like home than anywhere else right now, and I miss having people my own age around! Especially kindred-spirit-y types. Heaney and I will no doubt cause all sorts of hijinks at "camp." Should be excellent.
