I know I still need to post Otakon pictures, and I will, but I started fixing those at work, so most of them are still on the computer there, and Jeremy was nice enough to fix the Dragoncon ones already, so... Yes. Dragoncon, it is! ;)
Warning: Image heavy! :D

So glad you got pics of Captain Jack the pirate and Tin Ironman... I saw them but missed my chance. Plus that Loki is the bomb!
I should have posted here before going, but I knew I wasn't going to have a lot of free time since my husband was there and it was kind of a reunion weekend since we commute.

And haha, yes, that Loki was totally awesome. I watched him posing for pictures in the Hyatt lobby for a while, just because he was so entertaining :D
Yeah, I know how it goes - definitely harder to meet up with people when the husband is around! ;) Did you guys dress up?

Was it a billion degrees? It felt like a billion degrees in a leather coat, I'll tell ya.

I cannot even imagine what that heat must have felt like in a leather jacket. @_@ I mean, I was pretty hot myself, and two of my outfits involved sleeveless shirts!

So many AMAZING costumes - Saruman even looks like Christopher Lee. My mind boggles at the amount of time, effort, imagination and sheer ingenuity that goes into the costumes. I'm so impressed, people are incredibly talented.

That Saruman was so good I actually thought he was a paid booth person at one point, because he was hanging around some of the promo booths, but then I saw him later on just hanging around the con, so I'm guessing he's just extra awesome? ;) But yeah, I'm always so, so impressed by the creativity of the costuming at this con. So many times I walk past people and I just can't even imagine how they conceived whatever amazing thing they're doing. XDD

Second...I can't even get over how amazing the cosplay is at Dragon*Con. SO much better than at any other convention I've attended, including SDCC. By far.

And that is really interesting about the cosplay! I've never been to SDCC (though I've considered it, since it's relatively close to us) and I've always wondered how the cosplay would compare. I know SDCC has a lot of paid cosplayers, too, and so it's just really interesting to hear that Dragoncon is the best from someone who's been to both! It makes me feel better about trying all that hard to get SDCC tickets 3 years in a row, lol.

Such great pictures, especially of the various Whovians! I have to say Tin Ironman is my favorite though, and what an awesome Loki!

And yeah, that Tin Ironman was awesome! People are so creative *_*
