Dragoncon Cosplay Pictures!

Sep 08, 2013 14:09

I know I still need to post Otakon pictures, and I will, but I started fixing those at work, so most of them are still on the computer there, and Jeremy was nice enough to fix the Dragoncon ones already, so... Yes. Dragoncon, it is! ;)

Warning: Image heavy! :D

Many pics behind the cut~ )

OMG you look awesome! Love your costumes!

So glad you got pics of Captain Jack the pirate and Tin Ironman... I saw them but missed my chance. Plus that Loki is the bomb!

I should have posted here before going, but I knew I wasn't going to have a lot of free time since my husband was there and it was kind of a reunion weekend since we commute.

Aww, thank you! :)

And haha, yes, that Loki was totally awesome. I watched him posing for pictures in the Hyatt lobby for a while, just because he was so entertaining :D

Yeah, I know how it goes - definitely harder to meet up with people when the husband is around! ;) Did you guys dress up?

Yep we did, as Gwen and Jack. My wig was so incredibly uncomfortable that I cosplayed for just one evening, though. :D

Was it a billion degrees? It felt like a billion degrees in a leather coat, I'll tell ya.

Oh, fun! And ugh, yeah, I've had wigs like that that have driven me totally insane. It's so hard to tell when you initially try on a wig how it's going to feel after 8+ hours on your head, you know? XD;;

I cannot even imagine what that heat must have felt like in a leather jacket. @_@ I mean, I was pretty hot myself, and two of my outfits involved sleeveless shirts!

Love your TARDIS dress, it's gorgeous. Good to see the return of Centurion Rory and Amy too.

So many AMAZING costumes - Saruman even looks like Christopher Lee. My mind boggles at the amount of time, effort, imagination and sheer ingenuity that goes into the costumes. I'm so impressed, people are incredibly talented.

Thank you! I had a ton of fun premiering that Tardis dress :D And I think Amy and Rory is my favorite costume to do with Jeremy, so that was extra fun too.

That Saruman was so good I actually thought he was a paid booth person at one point, because he was hanging around some of the promo booths, but then I saw him later on just hanging around the con, so I'm guessing he's just extra awesome? ;) But yeah, I'm always so, so impressed by the creativity of the costuming at this con. So many times I walk past people and I just can't even imagine how they conceived whatever amazing thing they're doing. XDD

Ok first of all...YOU LOOK ADORABLE!

Second...I can't even get over how amazing the cosplay is at Dragon*Con. SO much better than at any other convention I've attended, including SDCC. By far.

Aww, thank you! :D

And that is really interesting about the cosplay! I've never been to SDCC (though I've considered it, since it's relatively close to us) and I've always wondered how the cosplay would compare. I know SDCC has a lot of paid cosplayers, too, and so it's just really interesting to hear that Dragoncon is the best from someone who's been to both! It makes me feel better about trying all that hard to get SDCC tickets 3 years in a row, lol.

Paid cosplay? I've never heard that. If they do they're not paying for much. Lol

I was just thinking of at some of the professional booths? Maybe not, I could be totally wrong!

You and Jeremy look so cute! :D

Such great pictures, especially of the various Whovians! I have to say Tin Ironman is my favorite though, and what an awesome Loki!

Thank you so much! :D I've been getting more and more into the cosplay thing in recent years, and it always makes me happy to hear we look okay! ;)

And yeah, that Tin Ironman was awesome! People are so creative *_*
