Have you started anything?

I keep on giving the group that did Hanasaku Iroha (currently doing the RGD data girl) the benefit of the doubt, but they haven't done anything as good as it. =/

I wasn't planning on watching Suisei no Gargantia or the Maou one...
I am however picking up a mecha series - Kakumeiki Valvrave. The reason? One word, two syllables: Mamo. =p (Shocker, huh?) It's an original work written by the person who did Code Geass, one of the only mecha having series I actually liked, so... yeah.

I'm also picking up Mushibugyo (which isn't on the spring list, strange, huh?). There's very limited information on it, but Mamo is listed as main cast. (I fear I'm becoming predictable.)

I think the two series I'm looking the most forward to are Karneval (PVs running in Animate when I was walking around a couple of weeks ago - I identified Mamo's voice and went to investigate) and Arata Kangatari (which Mamo is also going to be in). I'll give you an update on what I think about what when I have a chance to catch up (which honestly may take me a while ;___; ).

I've watched the first 2 episodes of Hataraki Maou-sama, Suisei no Gargantia, and Red Data Girl, and the first episode of Karneval, and Aku no Hana.

(Can you tell this weekend was anime catch up weekend? XD;;)

So far Maou and Gargantia are my favorites. Maou is really funny. The premise just sort of lends itself to amusing situations, with these two super powerful beings (the dark lord Satan, and his underling :P) who end up on earth in human bodies, having to do things like get part time jobs, open bank accounts, etc. :P It's also just kind of hilarious because the first episode starts with this epic battle in another world, between Satan and...whoever, and then when the end up on earth they're just really nice guys? So yeah, that one is honestly my unexpected favorite so far. ;)

Red Data Girl is interesting, a little slow. But I'll give it a few more episodes. Karneval was also fine, but didn't make a huge impression on me in the first episode.

Suisei no Gargantia is one that I think you might like, because despite what it looks like in the PV, and the opening sequence, I think it's NOT going to take place in space. More of a...pilot of a Gundam-like robot crash lands, and I think the plot is going to maybe be how he makes friends with the locals and helps them? It seems very character-based though, and the animation and the world is really pretty. *nod* When it ended up being in Not Space, I thought of you, lol. XD

Aku no Hana was kind of strange. Super slow pacing, and weird not pretty animation, and so I barely made it through the first episode. IDK, Jeremy actually was sort of interested in it, so he may watch it on his own. O_o

You'll have to let me know what of those couple of Mamo ones though. :D And what you think of the others when you get caught up. (Though I completely know what you mean re: time. I have no idea how I'm going to keep up with any of these on top of all the other things we're watching. XD;;;)

Also. Welcome back!! ♥ I can't wait to hear about your trip. :D
