Yes, he definitely was. ;__; What I was trying to show here was how he got there, I guess? That in the end, he was there because he wanted to be, and that there was some hopefulness in that decision, despite how it turned out. Don't know if I succeeded? But that's what I was going for. ;)

aww! *is mush* i really like this, like most of your stuff really, but i really like the tone to this; ianto isn't completely falling apart; he's coping, but he wants to do more than cope; he wants to live and know where he stands and that's very ianto; faced with reality, he adapts and copes and hopes but with an undercurrent of a pessimist and then when it does happen, he's semi concussed=D nice resolution; it was quite peaceful and lovely=D and i have no idea if this makes any sense but is the extent of my intelelctual ramblings for today=D

Aww, thank you. <3 What you said makes complete sense. :) I've always felt that Ianto is perfectly capable of handing Jack's absence, and of coping with a lot of things, and a lot of uncertainty, but somewhere deep down I think he also struggles with really wanting to know where he stands. And of course, being semi-concussed helps with being able to figure things like this out. ^_~ Anyway~ I'm really glad you liked this! ♥

*Sniffle* Oh. Damn you. I DON'T GET SNIFFLY at things.

Was this the one you were playing with? Because it's lovely. I really, really...yes. It flowed so well and was so sweet in a sort of stripped-bare way.

I loved it. And...the end. OH.

Aww, thank you so much for those kind words. *hugs*

This was the fic I'd mentioned, and... Yeah, I kept playing around with the end, trying to get the right tone, and so I'm really happy that you liked it. Or you know, that it made sense in the way that I meant it to. Which I really hope it did. ^_~ (I was going for hopefulness, in light of what we know is coming, you know? >_>)

Anyway, thank you~ <3
