Random thoughts and ramblings... :P
Ah, my first day... ^_~
I feel like I had a lot I wanted to say about it at one point, but now I'm just really tired and brain-dead, and I keep thinking about random things I was supposed to do tonight that I really should do because it's getting late and I really should start going to bed earlier, since I'm now waking up at 6:30AM, instead of 8AM. Right? @___@
But the day went well, I think. *nod* Orientation was fine, nothing really notable there, except that because Jeremy and I are sharing the car this week, I had to wait over an hour after it finished for him to pick me up and drive me over to my new office, which sort of sucked. XD;; But whatever, that's only for this week. *nod*
Then the rest of the day mostly consisted of me walking around with one of my two new bosses while he introduced me to what felt like the entire university in the span of three hours. And then I alphabetized a stack of business cards, inserted them into his Rolodex like a good secretary, and... went home. :P

The main thought I'm left with now, honestly, is... How am I going to fit in with this group of people? XD; I mean, they're all really nice, and really smart, and seem really focused on their jobs, but not to the point where the atmosphere is stuffy or stressful, etc., and it really seems like a good place to be.
But it also seems very much more social than I'm used to. Maybe it's just because I spent the day meeting people, and introducing myself, etc., but... I'm just not used to having so many people around. *__* Especially since everyone seems really open, and friendly, and... It's just weird. And will take some adjustment, I think. @__@
I just really hope I didn't seem too dull today, with my complete lack of knowledge about U-M football, and well, everything else that everyone was talking about, since mostly everyone was talking about football, work, or some other aspect of their life that I knew nothing about since I had just met them. [/paranoia]
Okay, I really need to get ready for bed. But that was my day. *nod*

...Oh god, I just remembered that apparently there's some kind of... breakfast/lunch/party/something being held for me tomorrow, but... I don't know anything about it, or what's going on since I can't seem to remember my login information for my email, and so I haven't been able to check it yet. XD;;;; I need to figure that out. It was just funny since all day as I was meeting people, they were telling me things like, "Oh yes! I got the email! Looking forward to tomorrow!" And I just kind of... forgot to ask someone to clarify what that was about. I suppose I'll find out soon enough though. XD;;;;;;;;;;;
