Well, by this time tomorrow, I will be all settled. My mother came into town today. I was dreading this process so much. But it really didn't take that long and it was A LOT of work. It took about 3 hours to move all my stuff out of the apartment into the UHaul and I almost passed out from the effort 3 times. It's not like I have a lot of big stuff. Well, I do, but it's staying at my ex's house. The only big things were his big, old tv, my bed and my desk. The rest was just boxes, a dresser, which we took all the drawers out of and carried them separately from the frame, and some small book shelves. Of course, I hadn't eaten all day because I only eat at night and that didn't help. But anyway, I just feel so relieved. Now we're staying in a Courtyard Marriott for the night and we went to Joes Crab Shack for dinner. I just got crab with cocktail sauce, which is actually very low calories. And I purged about half of it. Oh, and I had a house salad, which was just lettuce, 3 grape tomatoes, 4 croutons and less than a teaspoon of strawberry vinaigrette. For what I've burnt today, it's not nearly enough so I'm going to have some peanut butter m&ms and I'll still be below 1000 for the day, for sure.
Tomorrow will be so much easier because the new apartment is on the ground level, no steps to go up and we can bring everything through the sliding glass door. Then we're going to pick up this couch I found on Craigslist.

Tomorrow after we get the couch, I am going to be unpacking and arranging, but one of my friend's from the ed support group I attend, who also lives in the same apartment complex is going out with me to World Market to look for curtains and fun things for the apartment.
My stepdad is an antique dealer and estate sale coordinator so he has access to wonderful things that way plus my parents house is full of great stuff. He let me walk through and pick out several items that I like to take with me. I got this gorgeous blue satin glass vase and I have not decided what else I want. I also have a set of my grandmother's china (she passed away last November) that I'm really looking forward to using because I trust myself not to chip anything; whereas, if I lived with anyone else, I would be nervous all the time.

Anyway, that's what's going on. I start my job training on Monday. I have a class all day on Monday the 9th and then all day the 16th and 17th.
I don't start working at the house for a couple of weeks because I have to do a bunch of classes and get my CPR certification. I used to work at Starbucks a long time ago and I'm thinking of trying to get rehired. The pay sucks, but I absolutely loved working there. I loved using my OCD to get people's drinks exactly right and of course, all the cleaning and just the fast paced environment. I also applied at a Gold's Gym near my house because I think I would like that too. Yes, I'm still looking for work because the job I'm starting is 36 hours from 8am Saturdays-Sunday 8pm. One shift, but I get to sleep Saturday night. Therefore, as you can see, I have nothing to do M-F and I could really use the extra money (for shopping! I have a slight addiction). I want to work Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Then I would still have Mondays and Fridays with no work. Sounds like a plan to me. I'm going to keep applying for jobs, but I honestly don't want to start another job right away because I'll need time to adjust to this new position.

I absolutely love the couch. It has so much style
